Are you accepting new reservations?

We are currently accepting reservations.

Are Tybee Island's beaches open?

Tybee's beaches are open and lifeguards on the beach. Groups on the beach should be less than 10 people and should practice social distancing. 

Are restaurants and businesses on Tybee Island and in Savannah open?

Although Tybee Island and Savannah restaurants are allowed to open for dine-in service some are continuing to offer takeout and delivery options only. Click here for a list of businesses that are currently operating to accommodate customers.  

Are Tybee Island pools open?

Homes with private pools and hot tubs will be cleaned and ready for you to enjoy.  All of our pools and hot tube properties are on a routine pool cleaning schedule.  A skimmer is provided to help in between services or if we have any weather that may result in excessive debris.  For safety reasons, pool service is not available while guests are present at the pool.  Guests are asked to leave the pool area so the tech can perform the service safely.

Condo/Resort pools:  All condo community pools are open except Captains Watch which remains closed. HOA's have approved the pools reopening with occupancy limits, certain restrictions, and daily cleaning/sanitizing processes. Please email us directly at for questions regarding specific complex pools.

Are face coverings or face masks required?

Chatham County has mandated the wearing of a face covering in public spaces outdoor and indoor in the county, which includes Tybee Island and Savannah, and is punishable by a fine up to $500.  Any person otherwise unable to wear a mask for whatever reasons is exempt.  Face coverings are not required when someone is alone or with other household members; when eating, drinking, or smoking; actively exercising outdoors; or for children 10 years or younger.  

What is your cancellation policy?

Arrivals June 1 - September 30, 2020:  New short term reservations will have the ability to cancel prior to 15 days before arrival.  Guests choosing to cancel their stay during this time can receive a 100% travel credit to use on a future stay within a year of their original dates, no refunds options will be available. 
Arrivals beginning October 1, 2020:  Our standard cancellation policy remains in effect for all reservations arriving beginning October 1, 2020.

What steps are you taking to clean and disinfect your rentals?

Our Housekeeping Team members clean and disinfect all hard surfaces of our vacation homes, including but not limited to floors, countertops, railings, sink faucets, appliances, doorknobs, and light switches. The quality of disinfectants the TVR Housekeeping Team uses is per the EPA, effective against bacteria and viruses. Linens and towels are laundered offsite at our linen facility; soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated. Are towels/linens provided?

All beds will be made up for you and sheets will be provided if there is a sleeper sofa or inflatable bed at the property. Bath towels are provided, but we ask that you bring your own beach towels. You will have one towel per person per the occupancy of the property plus two additional towels (ex: if the property sleeps 12, you will have 14 towels). We do not replenish towels during your stay.

Parking on Tybee / Where to Park an Extra Car?

All of Tybee Island’s public parking is pay-to-park 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. If you have more vehicles than your property allows, they will need to be parked in a paid parking space. There is a large parking lot on the north end of the island (near the lighthouse) as well as one on the south end (near the pier), otherwise, all street parking is metered as well.

What if I want to rent a golf cart?

A golf cart must utilize one of the allotted parking spaces at your property, so please plan accordingly based on the number of parking spaces you have and the number of cars you plan to bring. Some condo complexes do not allow golf carts at all, so please check before you reserve one. We also cannot guarantee the ability to charge a golf cart at any of our homes. What amenities are provided in a property?

All of our properties are fully equipped with dishes and utensils as well as basic cooking needs. Additionally, each property will have an iron, ironing board, and at least one hairdryer. We also provide filters for the coffee maker, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent. If you need anything more than what we provide, it is your responsibility to replenish it.

How do I check-in?

For Tybee Properties: You will come to our office and we will give you a check-in packet with all the information you need for your stay.

For Savannah Properties: You will go straight to your property. Everything you need to know will be in your Guest Portal.

Where on Tybee should I stay?

It depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. The south end of the island has more shops and restaurants within walking distance, but the north end of the island is the quieter, more residential end. It’s really up to your personal preference.

I'll be arriving late, can someone else in my party check-in?

Anyone you have listed as a guest on your Rental Agreement who is over the age of 25 can check-in for you.

Can I check-in after your office closes?

Yes! We have an After Hours dropbox where we will leave your check-in packet if you will be arriving after we close.

When will I receive my check-in instructions?

Five days prior to arrival, you will receive an email with a link to your Guest Portal. This will have all of your arrival instructions like directions to our office, check-in time, etc.

Do you supply beach chairs, umbrellas, etc? Baby cribs or pack-n-plays?

We do not provide any of these items, but there are places to rent them on the island. Tim’s Bike & Beach Gear will deliver to your property prior to your stay and pick everything up after you leave. For more information, please visit:

Where are the handicapped accessible beach access points and are beach-ready wheelchairs available?

Mobi-mats are located at the following beach access points: North Beach Mid Lot Cross Over, Second Avenue Cross Over (East Gate), and 16th Street (Tybrisa) Cross Over.  Free wheelchair rentals are available on a first-come first-served basis at the lifeguard station (Ocean Rescue) located beside the Tybee Island Marine Science Center behind the Pier.  These wheelchairs are made to be easy to get into and out of and are built with fat, plastic tires to keep them from sinking into the sand. The Triolo chair even floats, although the exact type of chair available may vary from time to time depending on repairs and purchases of equipment. To check out the chairs, you will need a valid photo ID, and you will be asked to fill out a survey to help us determine how and when the chairs are being used.

What if I leave a personal item behind?

You can report a lost item on our website and we will do our best to locate your belongings - Click here to report a Lost Item. You can also call our office as soon as you notice the item is lost. We will have housekeeping go look for it at the property as soon as they are able. If there is a current guest-in-house, they will have to wait until the next check-out. If the item is found, we will contact you to discuss shipping it back to you.

Are there grocery stores on the island? 

It is recommended that you bring or buy groceries at the larger stores on Wilmington Island. There is one grocery store on Tybee, the Tybee Market IGA. You can even order online ( and they will deliver.
