The Stray Cats 40th anniversary release and subsequent tour are a little over a year old at this point. To pay tribute to these national treasures and acknowledge the massive influence they have had on American Music, Brady and the Bazookas will be performing all of the retro-Rockabilly Stray Cats biggest hits in a one time showing at the Tybee Post Theater.
The Southeast didn't get the chance to see the keepers of the rockabilly key together again during their reunion. It is unfortunate because the Stray Cats channel energy from the pioneers of rock and roll. However, after a 22 hour-round trip drive back from one of the Stray Cats reunion concerts, Brady decided "If the Low Country can't have the Stray Cats, they can have the next best thing!"
Brady and the Bazookas are not a cover band, nor are they a tribute act. But this one time event is a chance for them to share with audiences the music that started it all with Brady and the Bazookas.
The Cats's music had a greased-up rockabilly rhythm that was rock solid yet loose, the singer could croon or shout and the guitar playing demanded respect. It was elegant yet hard, jazzy yet completely rocking! Brady’s bringing you all the hits from “Stray Cat Strut” and “Rock This Town” to “Sexy & 17” and “Runaway Boys.”
