Savannah Directions and Parking Information

 

Guests staying in our Savannah Vacation Collection properties go directly to the property (no need to check in at the office). You will receive arrival instructions 5 days prior to your arrrival date including directions to the property, parking information, what to bring with you and other helpful information. Check-in time is 4pm. Should the property be ready earlier, you will recieve a text message alert that day. Your keyless entry code will also be texted to you the morning of your arrival date.  

Whether it's by car, by train, by bus or by plane, finding your way to Savannah is easy. It's leaving you will have trouble doing. Here are some tips for getting here and getting around. 

Travel By Plane

Located 15 miles from our Historic District, the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and offers regular flights to more than 20 non-stop destinations. Travel from the airport by taxi, shuttle, or rideshare to the Historic District. The city is very walkable and is easy to get around, even if you don’t have a car. Or, rent a car when you land, to take advantage of visiting beautiful areas outside the Historic City limits.

Travel By Car

Savannah is easily accessible from all points along the east coast via Interstate 95, or from the west by Interstate 16. Get driving directions on Google Maps.

By Train or By Bus

Amtrak rolls through Savannah on its Palmetto and Silver Service lines, and we’re a hub for Greyhound Bus Lines as well.

Parking

The City of Savannah operates over 3,000 metered parking spaces, 5 public parking garages, and 6 surface lots in downtown Savannah. Mobility & Parking Services manages these public assets.

ParkSavannah Parking App

Parking downtown has been made easier with the new ParkSavannah mobile App. With this app, drivers can now easily pay for parking from their mobile phone for any numbered parking space in the downtown district. ParkSavannah is available for free from the App Store or Google Play. You can also sign up and pay for parking by visiting parksav.net.

Visitor Parking Passes

A Visitor DAYPASS allows limited parking in any City parking garage/lot, parking overtime in limited time zones or at any parking meter with a time limit of one hour or more for a period of 48 hours from purchase. The Visitor DAY PASS is available to Savannah visitors for a price of $15.00 for a 24-hour pass and $24.00 for a 48-hour pass.

Enforcement

Parking spaces that are metered, or numbered are enforced by Parking Services:

  • North of Liberty Street: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., excluding city authorized holidays
  • South of Liberty Street: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding city authorized holidays
