History buffs won't want to miss the Tybee Island Light Station which is one of the nation's oldest and tallest lighthouse, originally built in 1733.  Visitors can climb its 178 steps to the top and enjoy breathtaking views. The Light Station is one of America's most intact by having all of its historic support buildings on its five-acre site. 

Admission: $9 for Adults/$7 for Seniors, $7 for Children 6-17 yrs, under 5 yrs free  

Admission for Military: $7.00 for Military/Free for Coast Guard (Must present ID)

HoursOpen Daily, except Tuesday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (last ticket sold at 4:30 pm)
Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and St. Patrick's Day (hours and pricing are subject to change specifically on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day)

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while visiting our siteFree parking is available at the lighthouse for those purchasing tickets.  Please do not leave your vehicle parked here except for the time you are touring the light station and museum. If you plan to visit the beach, please plan to move your vehicle to the city parking lot across the street.

Special Tours:

During certain times of the year the Lighthouse offers a special "Sunset Tour" wherey you can enjoy watching the amazing sunset from the top of the Lighthouse.  Want to learn more then check out our blog where we share our very own Sunset Tour experience. Contact them today to find out more about how to reserve your tickets (912-786-5801). The tour is approximately ninety minutes long and includes a climb to the top of the Lighthouse to experience a beautiful Tybee Island sunset.  This tour has limited capacity and fills up quickly so if you are interested don't wait to call. Tickets are $25 and non-refundable.  Children under 12 years of age are not allowed.
