History buffs won't want to miss the Tybee Island Light Station which is one of the nation's oldest and tallest lighthouses, originally built in 1733. Visitors can climb its 178 steps to the top and enjoy breathtaking views. The Light Station is one of America's most intact, having all of its historic support buildings on its five-acre site. The Fresnel lens is 9' tall.
Admission: $9 for Adults/ $7 for Children (6-17 years) Children under 5 are Free.
Admission for Military: $7.00 for Military/ Free for Coast Guard (Must present ID)
Hours: Open Daily, except Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We stop selling tickets at 4:30PM.
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day,and New Years Day. (Hours and pricing are subject to change, please view the website or call for more information)

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while visiting our sites.Free parking is available at the lighthouse for those purchasing tickets. Please do not leave your vehicle parked here except for while touring the light station and museum. If you plan to visit the beach they ask that you move your vehicle to the city parking lot across the street.
